Patchday bei Apple: Heute veröffentlichte Apple Aktualisierungen auf iOS 12.1.3, tvOS 12.1.2 und watchOS 5.1.3. Außerdem gibt es ein neues Update auf Safari 12.0.3 sowie macOS Mojave 10.14.3 und Sicherheitsaktualisierungen für die beiden Vorgängersysteme 10.12.6 Sierra (Security Update 2019-001 Sierra) sowie 10.13.6 High Sierra (Security Update 2019-001 High Sierra).

Abgesehen davon, dass durch diese Updates einige System- bzw. Programmfehler behoben werden, beinhalten sie vor allem jede Menge Sicherheits-Aktualisierungen – d.h. man sollte diese Updates möglichst zeitnah installieren!

Security-Update 2019-001 & Safari 12.0.3

Falls die Aktualisierungen im AppStore Probleme machen (und auch cmd+R für einen ‚refresh‘ nicht helfen sollte), kann man die Updates alternativ auch per Terminal installieren.

Softwareupdate per Terminal

In einer root-Shell (oder alternativ per sudo) gibt man folgende drei Befehle ein:

softwareupdate -da
softwareupdate -ia
reboot

Die Abkürzung -da steht dabei für ‚download all‘, -ia steht entsprechend für ‚install all‘.

Der Befehl reboot löst dann den nötigen Neustart des Rechners aus.
