10.14.5 sowie Sicherheits-Aktualisierung 2019-003

Und es ist wieder soweit – die Aktualisierung auf Version 10.14.5 „Mojave“ steht an. Ebenso sind Security-Updates für die beiden Vorgänger-Systeme 10.12.6 „Sierra“ sowie 10.13.6 „High Sierra“ verfügbar.

Insbesondere beim WebKit (worauf z.B. der Standard-Browser „Safari“ basiert) werden mit der Aktualisierung auf 10.14.5 diverse Sicherheitslücken geschlossen.

Da das WebKit auch von anderen Apps und Frameworks des Systems intensiv genutzt wird (z.B. von Apples „Mail“ oder auch der Schnellvorschau „QuickView“ im Finder), sollte man die Aktualisierung auf jeden Fall installieren, auch wenn man als Standard-Browser z.B. Mozilla Firefox oder Google Chrome nutzt.
